Update from Radio CruisesCurrently we find that group prices available from cruise lines are not a good deal compared to individual group prices. Therefore we are holding off scheduling 2010 Radio Cruise groups until that situation returns to normal.
This pattern where last-minute bookers are able to get a better rate than those who plan ahead is due to the effects of the current recession. Under these circumstances cruise lines are attempting to fill ships by last minute price adjustments. It seems that mailings are going out once and twice a week each with more attractive prices than the last.
Eventually this situation will turn around and we will once again see advance and group bookings rewarded by the cruise companies with their best fares. We look forward to the day when group cruises will return to being the bargain they have been in the past.
In the meantime we are assisting our past passengers in booking individual cruises...and helping them get the best rates possible.
